It is, especially if you're sending tracks to labels. They have to be top notch quality or they'll simply stop listening.
Exactly! Record Labels, ESPECIALLY A&R's will not accept your demo unless it is in top notch quality. Or else they'll just toss your CD away in the trash lol. I've seen it happened several times

I'm planning on getting 2 more songs recorded so that I can send a demo to labels later this year
Good bye at how expensive it is to produce songs. I'll stick with my basic GarageBand productions for free
Same though. I'd much rather just learn how to do everything and get at least basic equipment. I have tuition, rent, groceries, and a relationship to pay for

Damn, that's good! When can we expect it, I would like to see it!
Maybe it'll go viral too lol
I'm not sure exactly. Sometime within the next month or so probably. My bf is a filmmaker and wanted to make one and include it in a local film festival which will be cool
I really want to get into songwriting recently as a form of self expression for myself, but im very hesistant to do it. i am a self concious person and i can imagine people laughing at my lyrics as i write them by myself. I've never done any kind of writing by myself before, only for school. Teachers would give me good reviews when i tried but most of the time i barely drifted along in my english classes..
Any tips for someone who is basically a newborn at this? Should i try writing lyrics in a form of poetry before worrying about writing the verses/choruses/bridges, just as a start? Let me know anything you feel is vital to songwriting 101..
