I can agree on that most songs are for the moment and Truffle butter is The mottos little sister and it won't be a remembered track in her discography and this is from a fan of the song.

I think she'll have 2 or 3 from this era.

I get the novelty part...but I don't get the gimmicky thing unless he's saying that the use of Wayne and Drake (with their urban domination of #1 songs with or without features) is what he means.

Do you believe everything on the internet? Are you really that naive? The definition of 'Truffle Butter', put onto the ever so reliable 'Urban Dictionary', was made up and written AFTER the song was released. It isn't what they are referring to in the song. Secondly, since when does a song have to have a positive message in order to not be gimmicky? Most songs with positive messages are forced and pretty much the definition (I'm talking real definitions now, not some made up BS) of a gimmick.

True but most songs are not positive...it is what it is.
It's still a hit that people want to listen to. I predict a #7 or #6 peak for it.

It's not as much a positive message as it doesn't help urban music leave this terrible state it's in. The popular artist are basically puppets to keep the general public dumb instead of embracing intelligence. It's basically a different form of population control amongst African Americans.
