This album sounds like it will be very mature but Im not sure if its going to sound cohesive...
"Promised" snippet is not exactly the kind of song that will sound good juxtaposed with 45S/Higher. As much as I want to hear Promised, because its on obvious urban bop, I kinda hope they scrap it because its not a progressive sound.

I am sad Towards the Sun missed the Hot 100. Hopefully after radio adds, video etc. it climbs there.

Where's Nicki's album? How well did self-titled do in comparison with her other albums? How well did TTT/UA do in comparison with LOUD?

White suburbian people go hard for what they like, look at Taylor, look at Adele, when will the fickle Urban audience?
And urban artists are generally the last on the list of crossovering into radio. Outside urban community in America, the genre is far from being vital. Imagine all these acclaimed stripped down tracks with amazing vocals and if she throws in the album one or two PIU-esque type of songs. Like be cohesive. Go for the risk until the end. She needs more AC support. Cuz pop radio will be less supportive with her growing age, and urban is a niche market. So, it's worth to go for all. In the end she has nothing big to lose at this point. Ofc, this is no 1989 or Prism in term of sales and she may be surpassed already in some of the stats by her peers but the innovation can be felt throughout the snippets.

Yes I know that, and I'm very happy about that
I don't need any more PIU's and BC's though and neither does Rih's career to stay successful
So is AO the next single? I'm not sure how I feel about it, if that's the plan.
It's tailor-made for March Madness promotion, but not necessarily the best suited for an all-audience release, internationally.
Even if she put out another song as the 2nd single, I doubt she'd risk overlapping.
