no the only difference is that she let the writers sing their demos. the charli and kiesza songs were meant for her. she gave FTL to j.lo. she's been recording R8 all this time

Rather than releasing an album full of Rihanna songs so close to R8 they felt it was wiser to just do a Various Artists record instead.

This is exactly what happened. Also the original R8 was scrapped in August/September. However.. She was planning to release R8 lead (FFS didn't exist back then) in late August. Maybe thry even wanted for eras to clash :eyeemoji:

Well Rihanna was in the studio with Kanye several times during summer 2014. He was probably meant to be the album's executive producer since the beginning and I doubt R8 was ever scrapped.

Anyway, Rih's makeup artist said she's leaving NY right after the photoshoot and she might be on her way to Paris now.
