You know, I love how she keeps doing great and great after her peak lol. This is already one of her best years since she has started. A lot of great branding decisions and career moves.

Why is the G.U.Y. video so underrated? It doesn't deserve to be paid dust, it's one of Gaga's best music videos.

Because of the time in which it was released. People were honestly convinced she was over, so it was over looked. I think it's a great video visually, but you know how it can be for some people.

I'll never get over all those nasty articles from the places GaGa went on to promote G.U.Y. almost literally right after she had left. I don't remember who it was but it was disgusting. Am glad we are past that stage.

While Gaga did come off as pretentious at times in the ARTPOP era, some of the concepts she talked about were really cool.
For instance, "reverse Warholian expedition". Put simply, Andy Warhol was famous for popart, taking elements of popular culture and making them into high art. He took the Campbell's soup can and made an avant-garde art piece of it. What Gaga wanted to do was reclaim the soup can. She wanted to take the popart, pop culture fused with art and creativity, and put it back into pop culture. Hence, ARTPOP and "art is in pop culture in me".
So many neat things like that. It would be nice to observe the era in a vacuum without all the mess, but alas.
