Like Usher didn't sell millions of records before Confessions? His career didn't start with that album. His peak was ten years after his debut album.

Please shutup with 'one good year'. Just because he sold a record breaking amount one year, doesn't mean that he doesn't have constant success.

He spawned #1 hits for 5 consecutive albums becoming one of the only 5 artists to do so, became the 3rd artist in history to go #1 in 3 decades, and even in the R&B charts he broke the record for longest time between first and last #1 for an artist.

The top-selling album of '04 in US sold 8 million, and the top-selling album of '08 in US sold 2 million copies. So it's dumb as **** to always come for it being a decline, when it also had to with a huge shift in the album market overall. Even if he had the top-selling album of 2008, it still would've sold 4x less. Do your research. You continue to look unaware.

Literally by their logic, GGGB selling nearly 3M in US & close to 9M WW and none of her other albums failing to sell near it is her having a huge peak and falling off. Somehow not counting in the album decline, and the fact there is still tons of hits after.

Yeah his success began with My Way in 1997 and ended with Confessions. Ever since his career hasn't been as successful. His peak being ten years after his debut doesn't mean he had success since his debut when the debut album didn't even do Music Of The Sun numbers.

Is anyone seriously comparing Usher's power to Rihanna's? His success with Confessions was cute but apart from that it's all void, people outside the US know a few of his generic songs when he became a sell out but they don't even know who's singing it, he's not even C list, the fact that this is a discussion is a bit weird, Usher is one of the prime examples that pulling big numbers doesn't make you remembered/an icon/a legend.
