They didn't make it. It was just a bunch of Indian/South Asian-themed remixes made by a British Asian producer duo named Simon and Diamond Duggal. It didn't work at all.
Britney, Gaga, Nicole and Rihanna did the same thing as Shania with Indian themed remixes years later, but the producers who made them, Rishi Rich and Culture Shock, did a better job and it worked.
