buzz single to build hype for both The Voice and the upcoming album, just like Moves Like Jagger did the same for the show and Maroon 5--cross promotion at it's finest. If the song does well it will probably be the lead single, but it depends entirely on radio.
There's a reason why she's been hyping this pharrell track in interviews lately. Not to mention she first teased it on twitter months ago. This pic with Pharrell's hat strategically placed on the production board was intentional. Not to mention that's the same studio The Voice contestants record their performance songs. That's not a coincidence.
