Do people really have doubts about her? She's one of the most theatrical performers of our time, attended an art college, and has appeared in a handful of films. She has the acting chops, and it's not like AHS has been that great this past several seasons even WITH Jessica Lange. I think Gaga is going to bring something new to the table, and a Haunted Hotel (hopefully with an older setting) is going to revitalize the series. Also, Jessica Lange has repeatedly stated that Freak Show would be her last season, so not sure why everyone thinks she's being replaced. She's voluntarily leaving the show.

Actually, AHS has been kinda meh for the last two seasons, but I hope Gagz will be the fresh blood it needs. At the very least, she's a great fit since the show is pretty camp.
