My faves are a mess.

Gaga has literally credited Madonna as an influence about a dozen times. Madonna is thanked in the liner notes of Gaga's ****ing debut album.

There is no issue to cover. It's undeniable that EY & BTW sound similar, and she might have been a little extra by using "rip off" when she could've said something better, but she didn't utter a single bad word about Gaga. She said that it was one singular issue, and she didn't even blame Gaga as if she intentionally copied her. It was poor word choice.
She likes Gaga. She said that herself. She doesn't perceive her as a threat to her career or her legacy, because there's no need for it. Read the article.

This is what Madonna's response should've been to RS.
"This topic is so old and I've talked about it before many times. Let's just move on. I don't want to talk about it but I wish Gaga the best."
But instead she insults Gaga and then goes on to praise her. It doesn't work like that.
She did the exact same thing in 2012, when she made the "reductive" comment. Yeah, she later praised her, but everyone focused on that one word.
She can keep this "praise" to herself.

She did not go out of her way to insult her. That is the issue with your argument. She stated that the issue itself was the issue, and she didn't even blame Gaga. She then went on to praise her. Why are you being so thick?

I can't even imagine a Gaga/Madonna collab. I don't think it would be a big hit but it would definitely be a big moment in pop culture and a way to end the "feud" once and for all.

So you're gonna rag on monsters for not reading that giant wall of text but not the OP for that flamebait title? Mmhmm.

The similarities are striking. Whether the structure is similar to other songs doesn't take away from the fact that it does sound A LOT like EY, more than any other 80's pop song.
In any case, Madonna had the right to be upset when Gaga lied on national tv about getting M's approval, when she clearly never did, as seen by M's past statements and her rep's official talk to CNN.

Old lady, it's been 4 years, it's not cute anymore.
Not surprised she always brings it up, BTW is the only memorable thing for her this decade.

I don't think she wants my crown, either. We live in a world where people like to pit women against each other. And this is why I love the idea of embracing other females who are doing what I'm doing. It's important for us to support each other. The only time I ever criticized Lady Gaga was when I felt like she blatantly ripped off one of my songs. It's got nothing to do with 'she's taking my crown' or 'she's in some space of mine.' She has her thing. I do think she's a very talented singer and songwriter. It was just one issue. And everybody's obviously run with it and turned it into a huge feud, which I think is really boring, quite frankly. And you know what? I don't care anymore. Here's the thing: One day everyone's going to just shut up about it. You'll see! I have a plan.

Her statement wouldn't make much sense unless she said the one issue was about BTW/EY.
Even if Option 2 was printed in RS, y'all would still moan about it. THE QUEEN OF POP is talking about Gaga. It's amazing.

I'm done. With the OP, with the M stans using this as an excuse to shade Gaga, and with the Monsters looking for a reason to bash Madonna.
Y'all will never let each other be.
She said something nice about Gaga and even said the issue was boring, and y'all still won't let her be.

At least she's calling it like it is. No need to kiss ass, not that GaGa is someone she needs to kiss ass to. Madge has always been a unapologetic/bad bitch. Just look at that one quote taking up the entire page.
