I sort of look at SH like a stepping stone. Didn't SH get rated bad with the radio tests or whatever. I can see WI being more appealing to people tbh.

No it didn't. It tested well on RateTheMusic, which is made up of ratings by anybody who feels like making an account, so Twitter Harmonizers swarmed it week after week and gave it good ratings. But on Mediabase's call out scores, it had one of the lowest net positive scores back when it was still climbing.

I don't know if you guys realize, but this is doing so much better than Sledgehammer already.

As regards Spotify, Sledgehammer reached 10M streams on Spotify in almost two months, while Worth It is doing it in a month (it will reach 10M this Wednesday).

Sledgehammer struggled to reach top100 on iTunes, not even the video pushed it in the top140. It needed the discount the get the top100 for the first time after release week. To make another comparision, Sledgehammer with the airplay Worth It currently has was around #200 on iTunes.

And let's not forget Sledgehammer was a 2nd single released before album's release, which makes everything even more impressive.

All great points! However, they have been screwed over in the past and I hope that this is their breakout single. They do perform this very well and I think if the video is done right then we're in for a good ride with Worth It.

I can't believe people didn't want this is a single. The infectious horns in this really lifts this track and there's something anthemic about this that was missing from Sledgehammer. The Talk Dirty comparisons will be inevitable but I prefer this to Talk Dirty.
