This isn't debatable, rihannafan. It's just a plain fact. Hannah Horvath is written as a selfish character. Lena Dunham tells us this herself. And it's also obvious to people with eyes and ears who watch "GIRLS." Hannah is  almost like a female version of Larry David in "Curb Your Enthusiam," just not as likeable or funny. (Hannah's funny, but just not as funny.)

 I don't care what Lena says. She has always been there for everyone, yet every single person on the show has backstabbed her at some point. 
Oh, and I think Hannah is a character Lena wants you to sympathize with, not judge as selfish. I mean, the first scene of the show is her getting dumped on the street by her parents, who are supposed to be like the primary providers of moral and material support.
