Call me crazy, but after losing my virginity I really began to wonder what all the "saving yourself" fuss was about. People make such a huge deal out of something that really made no big impact on my life. lol.

EXACTLY! I've been trying to say that since I made this thread but the wording always came out wrong.

People always make a huge deal about it when it really isn't that big of a deal. When I was deflowered, it didn't change me in the least, I only freed myself from all the tabooes(sp?) I grew up with, if that.
My first time wasn't any different than the rest so I don't really understand why wait soo damn long to enjoy your sexuality (apart from religious reasons) .

And no I'm not encouraging anyone to go out and get deflowered. I'm just saying I find it a bit unnecessary to wait SOO long for the "right person". It's like saying you won't write until you find the right kind of pencil.

This is very true for a lot of guys. I might even include myself in this. However, I also think that there ARE women who do cherish someone who makes them laugh and who makes them happy over those cherished chiseled looks. Maybe I'm just being optimistic.

I don't think that having sex is going to just magically change who I am or anything like that. Maybe I'm just a hopeless romantic that wants the first time to be something special, something that I can look back on fondly.
