Going through some of the old Teenage Dream album thread from 2011. I still can't believe to this day that we kinda predicted the end of her marriage.

Such good memories in the TD album thread. I wish they didn't close after three months now

I remember meeting her in late 2011 and she was kinda like that... like I was expecting charismatic, bubbly, but she was very tired when I met her and she def felt... off? She was exhausted. And she kept her talking to a minimum. I remember asking her about her new tattoo and she just lifted up her ankle and tapped on it. And this was before the show so I can't imagine how exhausted she was because she also met fans after the show. And I remember she invited probably like 30-50 people from the local air force base to meet her - people who weren't even fans. So I don't know why they were there but she is a saint.

I think that's why she limited her M&Gs this time around - simply didn't want to exhaust herself.

The only bad songs on OOTB are Self Inflicted, One of the Boys and maybe I'm still breathing. The others are masterpieces, I actually LOVE Mannequin

Teenage Dream is complete perfection. Like let's not pretend it's pop perfection, IT IS the definition of the pop perfection. I can't find not even ONE bad song on the album plus the TDTCC.

PRISM on the other hand has like 3-4 bad songs, Love Me, This Moment, International Smile and TIHWD for me.

Still don't know if OOTB is better than PRISM or the other way.

Yes she was so off. But then iirc some pictures came out of her and Russell out in public and we thought everything was okay, but even in those pictures she did not look happy at all

2010-2011 were two of her best and worst years at the same time indeed.

I met her the show after the breakup (according to SmackUTwices timetable) and I never noticed her being off tbh.

Though it was the same day as the Perez Hilton TV show was filming so maybe she was in the zone for that? There was a slight crack in her bubblyness when I said TOTGA was my favourite and asked when the video was coming...

Every song on One Of The Boys is at least a 6. Her only album that has a "bad" song is Teenage Dream, tbh.

Also PRISM is a 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9 punch. The first real "let down" track is Love Me I guess, but even that has grown on me a lot since album release and is a nice song. If she switched Love Me with This Moment, the first 10 tracks would be FLAW-FREE. Double Rainbow is mediocre and then By The Grace Of God creates another spike before it goes back down to the dreary Spiritual and It Takes Two, before ending on a small high with Choose Your Battles, easily the best out of the bonus tracks, but still not quite as good as any song on the standard.

The breakup was late December, lol, but the crying we see in Katy's movie is from Oct (26?)... obvs wasnt THE end, but something definitely happened which caused her to be THAT upset..

Perez thing was done a few days after.. wasnt it? In Aberdeen... Oct 30? She actually said at the end of that interview she had a few breakdowns, but none publicly..

I've just been over reading the TD thread too... Nov/Dec 2011 was so nuts... *sigh*
