The song is not a lead single material? But who are you to say that? I'm sure Rihanna knows better than you, she always had a ear for hits and great music. Just because you don't like the song doesn't mean it's not lead single material.
Yes I expected something different for the lead single but I'm more than pleased with this amazing song.
The video is cheap? The video clearly had a nice concept. Like Rihanna said, it's all about a classic american look, all denim and stuff. And the video is great, it's meant to show the feelings and emotions they have during the song.
Please, let Rihanna be great.

I noticed that some of the Navy on here complain in the base about the song and how it will flop hard.
But yet outside of the base they're the same ones who are saying Rihanna proved the haters wrong.

I don't understand how you could stan for someone but yet don't have faith in them.
Now that the song is seeing success it finally "grew on you, or you love it now".
But so what if I dont know these previous century legends? Most of them were big when I was young.
I grew up with people like Bob Marley, J-lo, Usher, Rupee, TLC, Destiny's Child.
I dont care about those old 'legends' because I dont even like their music.
I've heard some beatles songs in my life but I didnt bother to look up their names because i dont like their music.
If you hear a song on the radio you dont like whould you bother looking up who the singer is? No. So why whould you when someone is a so called 'legend'
It's called general knowledge/culture. I don't care for Paul nor the Beatles but I know them. Also by your logic since you're black you should know who Aretha Franklin is.
I can't wait for every project to simply unfold. Excited to see how R8 sounds. Excited to see her voice work in HOME. Excited to see what she did for the OST. Excited to see her PUMA designs. Excited for the PUMA "fan activation". Just waiting is soo damn painful.
