You can contact Apple and get a refund. Just say you accidentally bought it (although someone told me when BEYONCE surprised dropped & he didn't like, he flat out told them he hated the album as his reason for return, and they still refunded him).
I guess they'll delete the album off your account, and refund. But if you just simply go to the folder for it and copy + paste somewhere else in your computer you'll still have, or delete it first to the Recycle Bin before contacting, you can just do 'Restore the Selected Item' after contacting which will bring it back as a full file.
You can really do this for anything. But I wouldn't ask for refunds more than 2 or 3 times over a period, before they'd get suspiscious.
Amazon on the other hand is a mess. I once refunded like 5 things in a day. They don't give a ****, and their workers are in like India or some ****.
I mean if anyone really is mad they bought on iTunes, then just go here: http://store.apple.com/us/help/returns_refund
Before you get a refund and they remove the album from your iTunes and delete the files, create a duplicate or put it in the recyle bin before contacting them then click 'Restore Item' to get it back. Therefore you still ended up getting the iTunes version for free.
But only ratchet ****** listen to albums through SoundCloud anyways.
You can't get a refund just because you didn't like the album, it's on the terms of user agreement of iTunes

Just copy the music files and put them on a USB drive and then contact them for your refund. Put the music back on your computer once you've received it.
