Just read the Elle article. If she sticks to what she says, we're not getting another pop album for K4. She wants acoustic or dance. The term she used is "reroute" and she thinks she may have reached her ceiling with pop.
She's not making an acoustic record soon. She's doing a pop/rock or a dance one. K4 will not be similar to TD or PRISM, that's for sure. I would be here for a dark dance album, It would be her best album.
As Ethan said, Katy's #1 every year streak will continue. We will have new music in 2015 but not a new album.

Honestly. Her streaming power and singles sales are undeniably the best in the game right now, with those added to her growing album selling power, she can easily get another 5M selling album WW, and 2M in the US. That would be ideal for me.
