What does that even mean? Logically, Beyoncé was the most well-rounded candidate proposed, as her record had attained more critical and commercial success than those of any of the other nominees, as well as having gained the most notoriety.

Clearly, none of those factors were taken into consideration, based on the winner, leading to belief that the vote was purely subjective amongst whatever committee considers these awards.

Adele won despite Foo fighters having the higher score

They don't check for metacritic scores when giving the albums if they did, none of the nominees would have been nominated in the first place

even with combined points it wouldnt have made the list. The album was forgotten after its first week (after all the magic surrounding the surprise release fizzled). After that its exposed for what it is.. a good album, not great, but good. It's not bigger than life, its not a game changer. and it certainly isnt the best album of the year. Not that any of the nominees were, but still
