Depends on the response. If she feels it went well, she'll give Bob and his team the go ahead for radio, then they'll wait and see. If it does well, then they'll send it for adds. If not, then they won't. Stoked she's going with the original plan. Was reading over my first impressions of Prism (before I was even a fan, heard her first album, and listened to TD again, honestly), and I thought the singles should be DH, Birthday, WOA, and BTGOG. Obviously I knew about the performance, but for a brief point in time, she didn't know if she was going to be performing--but she wanted to perform (it was her or Taylor). Remember those change of schedules? Her intent was always to end the era with BTGOG, but it was never decided whether it would be an official single or not.
IMO, it was a smart choice. Obviously WOA and LL are superior, but they should've been released in Oct and Jan (when she was touring/writing with Luke & Sarah), and would've need a stronger promo push with a budget. I think if the performance is really rousing and memorable, it could be a big iTunes hit since no one really knows about it yet. Obviously Pop and Hot AC would cling onto it, too, but in order for it to dent the top 5, sales would have to be insane right after the Grammys and hold up for the entire week.
Oh, and as for that stupid thread, Katy is a wood rat. They're probably going for the Rihanna tweet - a rat is a rat is a rat. I'm a fire tiger. Ridiculous.
