Madonna's legacy starts and stops with Holiday, wedding dress, Like A Prayer, Vogue, cone bra, ponytail, etc. Nothing she's done since 2005 will affect how people will see her in the long run. She could upload an album of fart sounds onto Instagram with the n word hashtagged and it wouldn't change that.

She's not hated. No one from the current generation hears her music enough to hate it, cuz it's seldom played on the radio and she's not overexposed by the media or shoving her songs down everyone's throat by performing them everywhere. And whatever antics she pulls on Instagram are just that, antics. Nobody is gonna take them seriously enough to actually hate her because of it, especially since I doubt most of the younger gen is checking her Instagram anyways.
I agree a lot of the younger generation don't care about her but its not like the rest love her. she's mostly seen as an embarrassing granny who refuses to put her **** away. if she actually grew up and stopped being a 'cool mom' she might be better received.
It's not even about stanning. Michael Jackson is undeniably the biggest, most impactful artist of all time. It's not even up for debate. Madonna, nor anyone else comes close.
He is on the level of The Beatles, Elvis, etc. and nothing you delusional Madead stans say will change that. 'Accept it and move on already.
I didn't mean recurrent airplay, I was referring mostly to top 40 radio where you hear the same songs over and over by one artist and then you star to develop a hatred for them. Madonna's songs get recurrent play, but they aren't being *****d out by stations, that's what I meant (which is fine).
Madonna is in the same Pop pantheon as MJ, the Beatles, Prince, and Elvis. She is the cream of the crop.

They are on different levels, sure, but they're all on the top at the end of the day. Prince is debatable, but the others are the ultimate pop stars.
Madonna's definitely way "lower" than the male legends. But it's not just her lack of timeless classics. It also has to do with how female music is perceived in general.

Every single culture adores MJ. People in Asia and Africa worship MJ....that is not the case with The Beatles or Elvis (him especially, he was local to US/UK).
Madonna's music is nowhere near as universal nor does she have anywhere near the amount of iconic and well known hits on the level that MJ does. Michael Jackson's music transcends genre's, races, etc. You can put on an MJ hit at literally any type of function: A Rock concert, A quince, A 6 year old birthday party, A bar Mitvah, A rave, A cookout in the hood, a 99th birthday party, etc. And everybody there will sing and dance along. My little brother and his friends probably couldn't sing two lines of a Madonna song but would know at LEAST 3 Michael songs by heart. Madonna's music is nowhere near as well known. Sorrynotsorry.
