Ciara currently is capturing the modern style and vibe and talent level that a Janet of that time would be if modernized. Think of it like this too, a lot of people consider Katy the modern MJ when she doesn't even dance or Iggy the modern Lil Kim even though she makes purely pop music. This is one of the least reaches of a comparison imo.

As far as talent is concerned, I completely agree. But as far as success is concerned, she's not even anywhere near as successful as Janet is.

Ciara deserves way more success than she's had. I don't know why she's not resonating with the GP. However I think she'll have a comeback RnB/urban hit with Missy Elliott. They'll bring each other back with another Lose Control/1, 2 Step type of song imo.

She is basically this generation's Janet. They are both very technical/athletic dancers & had both similar voices.Ciara's voice is more similar to Janet's than Britney or Aaliyah's (both of them actually had very low voices )
