Touring overseas is never a bad idea. Asian fans don't drop and abandon pop stars as quickly and easily as is done in the west. Building good rep there is very good for the long term.

Yeah, the PRISMATIC tour is basically her The Fame Ball tour in Asia or something. IDK if that's a good comparison. If Katy can at least show that she's trying to establish an Asian fanbase then that's really all it'll take. They'll start stanning Katy after that by themselves. It's all about appearing relevant before actually becoming relevant.

This. A lot of Asians love western acts and will pick up whoever as long as they're fun and cute.

Tho a lot of older Asians hate foreigners.
