As “exodus” suggested me, I watched several her videos at youtube. Her real voice is completely different. I would say she can sing. What a shame that her voice was autotuned like robot in all songs! Real voice should’ve been used in at least half of the songs.
As for boa’s debut album, even if someone thinks that each song is catchy and excellent rating 10/10, does this mean a good album ?
No way, Jose!!
I'll tell you why. It’s hard to explain, but I’ll give a shot.
Because, in general, a cd “Album” is like a “Photo Album” or whatever album (So, we call it album although you can’t open up a “CD” physically, like a photo album.

).
The order of the tracklists is very important to convey a concept/message/story. So, when you listen to a good cd, you sometimes feel like you watched a good movie or read a good novel. So, each song doesn’t have to be a catchy song inside of the album (So, some songs are mellow, upbeat, and then mellow, etc. Some artists use opening and interlude, etc to change sounds/tones or create a story.)
In this album called “Boa”, you listen to all “club banging” dance songs with, like having all the “Boa is Dancing! all day” pictures inside her photo album. If a title is an artist name, the album represents that artist, as an artist and a human being. He/She(an artist) cries, smiles, is angry, and is happy, at some point, with emotions, in his/her life. If all the songs are club bannger, the title should’ve been “Let’s Dance!” or whatever, but not artist name “Boa”, because this album doesn’t represent any real “Boa” (e.g. All the voices are autotuned, and no real voice, cheesy lyrics, etc.) inside. To me, I felt like I watched “C” rating movie IMO ( I don’t have any intention to offend her fans here by any means. I mentioned how I thought about this specific album, not about each song. Actually, some songs are good after a few listens.)
Sorry for a lengthy writing and misspellings if there are in advance.
Have a good weekend, guys! Peace.
