Same; it's exactly what we were all worrying about last year with R8 coming in September and Home coming out in November to cut the era short Except now to me it seems more like she'll be paying dust to Home, gonna be messy either way

Idk for me it just feels like this is really the first time she did her own thing

no one, literally no one saw this one coming, and she's not playing the chart game, she's just releasing what she and only she wants

she even had to create her own record label to get it out, but she did it

I'm not worrying about the R7/Home situation. I'm sure Rih will be able to do both, the Home promotion will last a month, maybe two and that's it. She will attend a few premieres bla bla R8 will be just fine

And the best thing is that nobody can call her a label puppet now. The song is a huge success, who would ever expected this from Rihanna. And i think that's the reason some people hate this song, they didn't expect this from Rih, they expected something a club banger or something. But more and more people are starting to like it.

This is such truth, people are really threatened by the fact that Rih is now doing something other artists don't, and she still is able to find success in it.

Everyone expected some radio-catering popchart hit so they could stay saying 'she's just a label puppet making music for the charts, she's not an artist'

But now that argument is gone and they have less and less to drag her for
