I still have a really good feeling about Carrie Underwood taking home the Country Solo Performance.
The "obvious" front-runners Miranda and Eric have never won in this category before (the later never winning a single Grammy) and will most likely split votes/be forgotten since they're nominated in all the categories. I also feel the committee might see it as "we can award them in other categories" sort of deal and they both end up falling short.
Hunter Hayes just doesn't have a chance in hell. The Grammy's love nominating him, but if he were to win in this category it would be a major upset and I don't the committee can come up with a justified reason to reward Invisible over Something in the Water.
Keith might pose a threat, since he's won a number of Grammys before. However, that was back when it was divided by genres and so far only one other male has won in this category. Also Cop Car really did not have that much impact in order to be taken seriously.
Another fact to consider, the winner for "Single of the Year" at the CMAs has never won for Best Country Solo Performance yet. If history is a sign, than Automatic has a lower chance at winning this because the Grammy committee seems to have completely opposite taste of the CMAs.
For Best Country Duo/Performance obviously Meanwhile Back at Mama's is gonna snatch this one, but hopefully Somethin' Bad can sneak in a win and be an upset there.
