I was never racist, but when I was 6 years old my parents put me in a religious school ran by nuns. One year, a black girl came to the class and for a month or so, the nuns (we had a different nun as a teacher for like every subject) were shading the black student saying things like "um your white shirt is dirty maybe it got stained with something" and pointed to her skin or refered to Africa, the continent, as The Jungle Land.
The thing is, the girl used to not play with everyone else and one day, I had an argument with her just when our parents were picking us up and I repeated an exact phrase some of the nuns said about the girl when no adult was around. I don't remember what I said, but the nuns quickly came and yelled me to apologise to the girl in front of every parent for what I said.
I will never forget that moment. It teached me that believing in race equality was more than saying two nice things and behaving youself in public, it had to deal with what you truly think. Since the nuns were trashing the student so much, I started to think "maybe the nuns are right and the black girl is inferior", but when I realised that they only showed their racist side when no one was around, I knew something was wrong and quickly came to my senses.

Amazing read. At least you aren't making serious topics like racism into a joke. I'm glad you learnt, I'm glad the black girl got justice and that nun is disgusting. Shows how racism is so influential, especially among young people!

Being fascinated by someone and equating them to an animal, especially the one stereotyped by that race? I'm not blaming you because you were 5 but that sh*t is usually learned at home. You either heard it from someone in your family or saw on tv. Plus you sounded like you wanted to share that story just for the kii's
How are you trying to justify people laughing about a racist joke by those who make fun of abuse and mental illness? Both are terrible things to do so I don't see your point? Your damn immature

 Oooooh you got me!
I have a big a*s forehead too. Rihanna has a big forehead and knows it. Didn't know making fun of foreheads was the same as laughing at abuse, racism, or mental illness
You learn something new everyday.
Edit: I like how you ignored everything else from that post because you have no argument

I had a feeling there was a deeper intention to your "story" and it appears I was correct. There is a difference between making comment on one individual and making a comment on an entire group of people. The fact that you think Rihanna's domestic violence case is on any level near overall racism shows how you really feel about this discussion. You weren't cute when you were 5 saying Black people look like gorillas, that's disgusting yet you flaunt it as if its something normal. That just goes to show that you probably grew up in a racist environment as a child.
I'm not trying to sound like I'm attacking you but you (and those people quoting your joke) need to watch how you say things. It comes off as really offensive.

Sorry but this comment is extremely ignorant
As ignorant as racist ones.
And all I see is the same group of people in every single thread causing the same problems. Honestly it was an innocent story, there was no bad intention in any of the ''ddddddd'' and . There has not been one racist comment on this thread sans the N word one.

I think my baby sister is racist and she's 1 year cause she cried when my uncle and cousin touch her cause their very dark color skin
I really don't like Asian, hapenese, Korea etc can't tell them apart because they look the same.
reason I don't like them it's cause they smell and drive like snails -_-
and I dont like Mexicans who think they own American when their illegal immigrants

Clearly not yourself either. Sorry your so insecure you have to make fun of Asians, black people or Mexicans
Hopefully you can get over the fact that your d!ck remains small and you have the IQ of a 1st grader.

"Same group of people". Who are these people?
I hope your referring to people who casually make black jokes or act like these jokes are funny? Instead of the people who are calling them out on it. Sorry I don't like hearing offensive jokes about my race or people treating it so nonchalant

You think a kid calling a black person a gorilla is innocent? You might want to rephrase that because that's sounds so ignorant and insensitive.
It doesn't matter if it was a kid, a teenager, a young person, a middle aged person, a citizen senior - hell even a toddler says something which is racist - and in this scenario especially something which is commonly found in racist comments (relating black people to animals). That's how racism starts in children people would probably laugh it off and the child grows up thinking it's okay to make disgusting and vile comments.
Those people going 'ddd' or ' ' are the same, they're practically saying it's okay for a kid to make racist comments, it's funny and y'all think relating black people to animals is clearly a 'ddd' - my opinion isn't going to change

first of all, I'm far from insecure. I'm the most confident person out there. Second, never did I make fun of them. Third of all, it's you sweetie with the IQ of a first grader who doesn't know the difference between you're and your. so next time you want to call someone dumb, look at yourself. And I love how you're describing yourself to me when I could careless how small your pee and IQ is. God bless you. love YA never change, stay fresh xoxo

When I was really really young [maybe 5 or 6], my dad used to watch a lot of Kung Fu movies w/ English subtitles. I used to imitate them by saying "ching chong cheng" etc but I don't anymore bc I know better

I agree that is not okay,
Same group of people I was referring to some members that come and attack my threads, but I do understand where they come from sometimes, just this time it wasn't with that intention at all.
