As the staff have said, dozens of times:

The update will come when InvisionPower releases IPS4. They're on their fifth beta, and it may be the last one, as has been discussed several times over the past week.

Forgive my tone of exasperation, but this is literally asked every day. There was even a thread on it yesterday, which was discussed as early as the page before this.

Maybe there should be a banner or something, so everyone is updated on the status of the situation?

Well, mods don't have the ability to edit your signature, sooo...

Are you sure? I remember a mod took my sig down cuz I quoted someone's post that was vulgar I thought sigs were the only place we could have vulgar posts quoted but apparently not (but that's neither here nor there).

I would have taken it down too if I knew but they did it for me.

You can have your name taken out of sigs by request. So don't add it back if you see a name has disappeared. Mods can edit signatures.

Yeah it's been a thing for a long time. I remember it started with made up quotes and people complaining about that, and then we said okay it has to be real quote, but then it still continued with stuff taken out of context, to the point where we just removed quotes altogether when requested. It's a form of harassment.
