At least some clarity is coming forth with the investigation. With "properly inflated footballs" the Patriots scored 4 TD's compared to the Colts 0 TD's.

This makes me think someone tampered with the footballs to sabotage the Patriots instead of them being altered for better performance! Why would Tom Brady (& Peyton Manning) lobby (& win) against this stuff then do the opposite?That makes no sense...

Could the official detect a two-pound (pressure) difference just by holding it? I doubt it, especially when you're not even thinking about that unless one comes in so soft. I doubt that would be case with two pounds.

He also said before that quote that officials have 36 official footballs they test with a needle & pump. The home team have 12 BACKUP footballs that are also tested. After they're tested, they are locked up and guarded before/during the game.

So... it comes down to either 1.) Mother Nature or 2.) the Refs...

Elway has been GM for years, but the Broncos never got significant attention recently until Tebow, and that only increased with Peyton.

I really don't know what world you live in where Peyton isn't popular. I don't even particularly care for Peyton but there's no QB who is more loved/respected.

An interesting thing Bill Belichick mentioned was them inflating footballs to the minimum 12.5 PSI and allowing no room for any deflation whereas inflating footballs to the maximum 13.5 PSI would allow for some deflation. A very very valid point.

"Popular" doesn't equate "better". Is Brees better? No, tho it's debatable since Brees took down Peyton in the Super Bowl & has remained elite since. But more popular, YES. Especially since that Super Bowl in 2009.
