Do you even realize that this is better than being on a record label? By cutting out the middle man, they will not only OWN the album, but they keep ALL profits and will probably have a much bigger budget than a major label could ever give them. You're acting like no one is checking for them, yet you're here perched in this thread.
I'm all for Kickstarter. it's one of the best things to happen to artists, especially those that want to remain independent from greedy corporations. Please educate yourself. Many BIG projects have been funded through Kickstarter, including the Veronica Mars movie.
You would think one of them has a home-built studio and some producer pals who would collab pro-bono. Damn.
