Mess the individual scene wasn't fake they just edited it together from a few different dates for better storytelling.

Hence why I called it manipulated and not fake.

The drama of her marriage falling apart over text against the backdrop of the biggest concert of her career and the heartfelt The One That Got Away and "Katy Eu Te Amo" chanting made it more dramatic. Her crying in the dressing room and then struggling to get on the lift and put a smile on are real, it just happened somewhere else (I think UK if I remember correctly).
