Your definition of marriage is influenced by very outdated standpoints that do not align with societal norms. Not only does it restrict gay people from basic human rights, it restricts certain woman. By adhering to that definition you agree that women who do not own the bodily foundations to give birth should be allowed to marry. No one here is telling you to withold your religious views. I am telling you for the well-being of this site (and society in general) to not slam your religious standpoints against secular issues that exist in secular societies (like ATRL and the country you live in, even). When you argue against gay marriage with your religious viewpoints here, you are not proving anything to anyone, you are being utterly offensive and disrespectful to the population that is predominantly not strictly religious. You are among a very small group of people here that holds such views - the rest of us don't want to hear them because they are irrelevant to us. It makes me mad because you are expecting us to follow your religious views that have NOTHING to do with our daily, non-threatening lifestyles. Go and argue against gay marriage in the Vatican or on Christian Mingle, somewhere more appropriate.

I hear you, that's why it's called a belief system. It's not a fact, neither is yours, they're just opinions. Some are more accepted than others, that's fine with me. What's good about the internet is that we can have these kinds of debates. They're very productive, you see. I'm not innocent, I just try to get on as well as I can. Your beliefs apply to yours, and in your eyes they're just as valid as mine are to me. My beliefs may not be accepted, and I accepted.

I genuinely never mean offence, and I hope your beliefs serve you well.
