If those muslim radicals didn't like the fact that the French press protected freedom of speech in the form of Charlie Hebdo, the right move would've been to leave the country. Move somewhere that had Sharia law. Not KILL.
I don't get how there are still people poo-pooing Charlie and defending TERRORISTS KILLING on here
!
You know, birds of the same feather, flock together. No wonder most of the people here defending terrorists killing are muslim.
religion is like another form of law and order in society. you just cant blatantly disrespect/disregard it like that. if thats the case, maybe we should get rid off every law in society so people should be free to do whatever they want.
Separation of church and state exists in the west.
I can't at you comparing these two situations. Of course they are allowed to get mad, but getting mad and pressing charges against someone =/= getting mad and killing 12 people.
Ofcourse I'm not comparing it to the terrorist attack.
I'm saying if a Muslim were to do the same he'd be considered oversensitive, and he shouldn't get offended because it's satire.
Satire doesn't automatically exclude the subject of being offensive.

what?
you are basically defending the rights/logic of people from a "peaceful religion" to assassinate people who do not respect their "religion of peace"
It's hysterical how people think that satire shouldn't exist because it might offend someone. Lmfao.
We all saw what happened when france felt something they hold so sacred their freedom of speech come under threat. They went bombing mosques and shooting recklessly.
Yet when some radicals react to something they hold sacred(their religion) after being attacked, its the end of the world.
all i'm saying is, why cant we all learn to respect each other? is it really that hard to do?
everyday people DO respect each other but the whole nature of a satire newspaper/magazine is not to respect, but to bring out the ugly ugly ugly truths that lurk in everything Asking a satire magazine to respect everyone is the equivalent of asking a Muslim to stop thinking about "Allah"
And that they have the right to kill people because they attacked their religion
The fact that some people here are defending such behavior and mentality...
But of course we're just not supposed to say anything because we don't want to offend someone. The whole point of shock value and offense is to meta open the minds of people and make them think outside of their own circumstances and see irony. Its certainly ****ing helped Christianity grow out of its bigoted and despot nature the past hundred years by showing people the flaws by exaggerating them and making them pronounced and able to be fixed.. but that doesn't matter now, because you're just supposed to appease forever now, I guess.
Who said muslims have to tolerate disrespect in the name of satire?
Who said countries have to tolerate muslim immigrants then?
obviously I support diversity, but it's the same logic.
If you move to a country, you will respect that country's rule of law. In france, that includes freedom of press and speech.
