Apart from the tour this is literally all thanks to one song. People are getting bored of her image, her singles underperformed and she received a fair amount of backlash in 2014. She really needs to take this opportunity to rebrand.

Did I say something different? An artist always needs at least one new song in order to have music success, DH played that role for 2014, like Roar did it in 2013 and Part of me in 2012. And who told you that Katy didn't want to release Dark Horse? The person that you shade almost everyday for his credibility? Ofc she would release it, it was charting on hot100 for 3 months before it was released as a single.
