That .01 could be the difference out of me and Element who gets 4 or 5 and who makes it into the final.....

Omg I thought that was real

Anyways, I realized what was my problem this round. I'm a storytelling writer, and having limited words put a huge dent into my story that I started chopping out everything so it could fit into a couple lines. There was a story there but the fact I had so few lines it was barely understandable anymore.

Suicidal Beauty Queen didn't do as well as I excepted since it felt more like a wannabe Illusions/Scarlet Bitch and had an interesting concept but it just didn't grasp like the the other two songs. Goodbye Kiss showed promise just that it kinda built up to your typical love song but had good storytelling.

Everyone's in for a shot Dan, don't discredit yourself yet! I think Huga gave me an average score so that could bring my average down to like 7 (if GotSkill and Fefe really did give me a 9 and 8.5 respectively

The fact that I have a 1% chance will keep me up all night.

Ill get to see them in the morning tomorrow.

I just wrote a song 1000x better than the one i submitted describing my nervousness.

So now if I don't make it to the final, im gonna have to compete next season because there is no chance i can judge after placing 4th or 5th. I just want to prove that im a good songwriter. I dont want y'all to think that I got lucky with my 2 good rounds.

Also Scorpio. finished 4th last season and is a guest judge this season and is hosting the next one, so I wouldn't count yourself out. Plus I think Huga finished fourth in a season.

Also remember that this is the most successful season ever (31 submissions for the first round) so placing 4th or 5th this season means you've performed better than over 80% of the contestants which is probably more impressive than other seasons too.

What I feel like is a hate for myself right now. If I wasn't lazy and actually did set up my computer, I wouldn't have lost my killer song. It was called 'Why I Can't Love Anymore". I loved it. Instead I must have hit a stupid wrong button on my freakin S5 and lost it. I ended up with a song I hate and shouldn't of submitted.

I just wanna write a killer song again. Ive been busy here in Shanghai, and I guess I can keep myself occupied, but PH really brought me into ATRL, and it filled my days that were long and boring in Australia. It I don't have it.... what will I do? I mean what will keep occupied from missing my family? The drama with my friends? I act all happy about the move but not that things are settling in, and things in my life are leaving (PH, friends, family) I don't know what's left....

Ugh im so sorry all I dont mean to load it all onto you. Delete my post if necessary.

Don't hate yourself! Everyone makes mistakes. I lost a chunk of my song too and even though I kinda flopped last round I'm still here. You could be too! Like Element said, I'm not even sure it's statistically possible to average out from 1 to 4 or 5. It just depends on the scores from last week and the scores from this week I guess. But there's always a chance.

Also, there's the ATRL Songwriter's Thread that is usually used between seasons (I think!) to post songs and get feedback on. When PH ends there's always that until the next season!

The way Ive tried to guess the scores means that I have a 40% chance of making #3 and a 60% chance of #4

I'm not sure how you figured that out.

IDK what I got last week, but I know this week I got a 9 from GotSkill, 8.5 from Fefe and somewhere between 5 and 6 from Huga. Worst case scenario (Huga giving me a 5) that averages out to 7.5, which counts for 50% of my score. Knowing I got the 8th and 9th lowest scores out of everyone I can only assume that they were about 3's or 4's. Therefore 3+4+7.5+7.5=22/4=5.5 on average. Definitely won't be enough for #1 or #2... could scrape #3 but I think it's a big ask.
