d girl it's not a formal music publication so their standards for their blurbs are a lot more lax. They're still legitimate critics.
And I don't hate the song; it's probably my fave number one in the last year. But just because you think they have some issue with Bruno (which they don't, comparitively: look at his peers) doesn't mean they're somehow biased or not legitimate.

This is such a faulty argument. Using success as a metric of quality is so populist and dumb. The GP doesn't care about craft.

Radio seems really hesitant about playing their music. Centuries has been Top 10 digitally for weeks now.

Yeah, it's really irritating. Though it seems to be picking back up now, hopefully it can peak around where MSKWYDITD did and get to the top 10. It would be their first since "This Ain't A Scene" nearly 8 years ago.

Thanks for the T20 breakdown Brian.
I still think the influence of sales is too high. At this point, I think a 40-35-25 (sales-streaming-airplay) is acceptable, but I would eventually like to see streaming as the largest influence.
Bang Bang is really hanging in there with good sales.
AATB still a streaming force.

"Elastic Heart" is at 26.5M and still one day left for the tracking week, Top 20 debut more likely

I am hoping this will make the Top 20 predictions easier to do and more accurate, since everyone will know pretty much how many points were in each component the previous week, and what actual sales, airplay, and streaming numbers each song had the week before.
I would like to increase this Top 20 to the Top 25, but I don't want to create extra work for the people who helped me either.
As for the distribution of points, this Top 20 is just about perfect for me, but I know sales will decrease some this coming week, likely increasing the proportions of airplay and streaming.

I also agree with the frustration over mainstream radio refusing to play Fall Out Boy's "Centuries". This is another example of mainstream radio's bias against real Rock music.
This time, the formats making up the Pop Quadrant (AC, Hot AC, Top 40, Rhythmic) can't use the excuse that this isn't selling or streaming well, so people must not want it.
This is how mainstream radio has rationalized keeping Active Rock songs from crossing over so far in the 2010s.
"Radioactive" started at Alternative and then crossed over to Active Rock, so that song doesn't count. Technically the same path applies to "Centuries", but the latter song rocks harder than the former.
Mainstream radio is afraid of playing a song including an electric guitar, plain and simple. It wasn't always this way, but it sure as hell is now. They want to keep playing the same dance Pop and fear veering from the norm.

I think one of the biggest exceptions these last years for a sucessful Rock song impacting on Pop radio is "Second Chance" by Shinedown

I think in a few months it'll be closer to your ratio. The last couple of weeks sales have been higher than usual because of gift cards, new years, etc.

Streaming to have the biggest influence on songs' chart position, why would anyone want that? I think sales should always have the finale saying in any song's success because people watching a music video doesn't always mean they like the song. I am here for more power to Spotify though but definitely not YouTube.

Which they actually had to tone down the harder guitars for.
I hate radio for this stupid bias. The song has been in the top ten virtually since its release and radio is STILL refusing to give it the airplay to match while awful songs like Blame are top ten whilst down in the depths of iTunes.

They can decrease radio power and increase Spotify's share but sales should always have the biggest influence.
