I thought it was a solid premiere. Obviously my favorite teams are Diem/CT, Jonna/Zach, and Averey/Johnny.
The only thing that was missing for me in the episode was any tea on the actual relationship dynamics of the couples. We saw Dustin/Jess work through some stuff, but for the most part, it seems like people are just repressing their feelings and throwing their issues to the wayside to just work together and try to win the money. While that makes sense, nobody wants to watch a team that's just going to bottle their issues up and calmly compete. I want to see more dirty laundry aired! I still have so many questions regarding where people stand with their partner and what actually happened between some of the couples. I think we'll get there eventually, but I don't want to have to wait until each team's boot episode to really get the drama and answers.
Poor Dustin. Not only is it difficult for him to hang with the veteran guys because of his past, it's also tough for them to take him seriously as a competitor since he's essentially a rookie despite this being his fourth challenge. I mean, he's legit only made it past the first couple episodes once.

Not really. It's basically just like a secret redemption island (if you watch Survivor).
