Ugh, I get my Early Action University decision in mid-February and I'll be ecstatic if I get accepted, how I would LOVE to have new Britney music to blast. And I'm turning 18 in March and I'll be getting my license soon and my parents promised me a car for my B'Day, I NEED to have a Britney lead to BLAST to officially inaugurate my new vehicle and new chapter in my life. I don't really get my hopes up whenever there's this type of "what we heard is really good and better than her previous work" or shi, only to set up myself for disappointments... After she gave us Britney Jean I can only hope for new music that is at least slightly better.

Yes, we all agree that a surprise release would be disastrous. I've already said this, but the era of doing a lead single 3 months before an album is beyond us (and the music market in general). Britney just needs to pop that lead out and then the album a month later, along with the music video for the lead. Boom, album and single peak at the same time = optimal. I remember Circus was released the same week Womanizer went #1 WW. That's the way to go.

I never understood that either...
It was a #1 hit and didn't free fall like HIAM did. It stuck around the top ten for a bit from what I remember. It was her first single released after Vevo became a thing. I'm not surprised it's not certified given Vevo hadn't peaked yet but it should have around 70-80 million imo..

I agree, it should have at least 80 million views by now. I doubt it's blocked anywhere but honestly I remember everyone of friends LOVING 3 and the GP loved it too. The views don't match the love it gets.
