I just saw that thread, and I do have to say that a lot of Mariah's #1s are probably forgotten. I honestly don't know most of her #1s because I wasn't born until the mid 90s & didn't live through her "peak". I was too young to care or pay attention, lol. The only time on my life I remember her being everywhere was the TEOM era, which is still my favorite Mariah album.
That being said, based on what I've seen & heard, I would say her remembered hits are All I Want for Christmas Is You, Hero & Always Be My Baby. Fantasy & Emotions are decently remembered as well.
I've noticed that a lot of her ballads didn't age well, which might explain a lot of the lack of timelessness her songs have.
I think Gags is also very non interesting in private.
