Lbr Avril is seen as a joke in the music industry. Not to mention her music is of very poor quality overall.
I live in Canada and no one talks about Avril here. Yet I've heard quite a few people talk about Christina and what a great voice she has, and I've heard her songs at events. If an Avril song is on the radio here it is because of CanCon laws (a certain percentage of radio and TV must be Canadian content).

I don't care for certifications, we have a lot of confirmations about the 17 million copies by her team. The US 8x platinum cert aren't 8 million copies sold! CA sales are about 9.1-9.2 including the BMG club.

Why hasn't her debut been certified Diamond? Haven't others had their albums certified Diamond based on shipments alone, and not actually being close to passing 10 million in sales? I don't get it.

RIAA use BMG and Columbia House sales too. Xtina's albums weren't available in CH, and her BMG sales don't make 10 million. Other albums that went Diamond were available in CH and BMG, so that takes it up to 10 million.

In Broadway 4D news, this article about Hugh Jackman says that it will be released sometime this year. IMDB also says that it is in post-production. I'm not getting my hopes up yet though.
