And LMAO, they are really trying it in the Taylor Swift Legacy thread. Apparently because she isnt selling like its 1999/2000 in 2014 her sales are not impressive

Is that not cheesy and lame?
chhh they're always trying it. You guys basically spelled out her legacy yet they try to find a million excuses to discredit them. Do they think their faves have greater legacies?

Like i said, they wont say Taylor has "impact" until she starts doing ****ty performances or something. Let them stay foolish, the rest of the world is clearly on another channel than they are
By the way, did any of you read this article about Taylor "leaving country" from back in 2013? It is a country website, and there are a lot of comments that i think are really worth reading!

But of course, most people are saying it's for PR and She's a self-centered b!tch.

Not really, only haters are saying this.
And even some people who thinks that all was for PR think that's a better way to do than she using something sexual or crazy to get attention.

I actually quite liked the performances. Much better than last years, that's for sure. Yea, her vocals went a little off from time to time, but that's to be expected with all that moving around. I absolutely loved the gold streamers that came out during WTNY. Something other than your average confetti was nice for a change. She actually sounded pretty good singing SIO!! And so much energy!! Did her outfit remind anybody else of Michael Jackson?!

She definitely looked like she came straight out of the 80s. The hair was kind of a mess tho.

Speak Now > Red >>> 1989 > Fearless >>>>>>> Taylor Swift

ALL TOO WELL is still my all time number one Taylor Swift song, but 1989 is her best album so far.
Red is a successful trial, its highest highs>>>
But as a whole project, 1989>>>
All the tracks are nearly at same high level, this makes the whole album the best but also causes the biggest trouble for us to list the universal trinity or Top 5, or even top 10?
Another tiny thing to be considered: Most people think she will flop transitioning from country to pop, which was true for the other stars some of whom were legends. But look at 1989

I agree - lyrically Speak Now/Red are her best albums but the reason why I think 1989 is her best because it's so coherent and consistent. Speak Now has some genius songs (Dear John, Enchanted, Speak Now), but then it has quiet a few mediocre songs. Same with Red, it has some real highs (IKYWT, ATW, Holy Ground) but then some real lows (TLT, IAD). Not to say any of them are "bad" songs because they're great, they just don't blend into the album, nor do they flow well.
I really prefer albums that are sonically cohesive and flow, because it feels more like an 'album' than a 'collection of songs' - and I feel that's where SN and Red fail to deliver. For me...
1989 > Red > Speak Now > Fearless > TS
She's literally the only artist I listen to who (I believe) improves and shows growth with each record. Most are guilty of releasing one or two great records, with a few mediocre ones.

Exactly the same order as mine.
Still under the influence of nearly whole bottle of sparkling wine, can not backtrack quick enough, but like your post

Maybe because higher than number one is number ZERO so BLANK SPACE was NOT performed last night?
But it gives me more confidence about BLANK SPACE, what if she promotes it if needed?

I think it will be dethroned within 2 weeks. It still has huge lead on radio and its streaming already backed to normal (over 4M daily). Anyways, it's so impressive since it already atopnBBH100 for 7 weeks.

I actually loved the hair
It was messy, and curled inwards. Also looks like she trimmed it again. It looks shorter in the back.

1989's lows (Bad Blood, You Are In Love, Welcome to New York) are just as low as Red's lows (22, Everything Has Changed, WANEGBT, The Moment I Knew) [I'm completely ignoring GAG's existence], and Red's highs are much higher than 1989's highs, so I prefer Red as a project. Not to mention there are ten 10s on it vs. three 10s on 1989. Its lack of musical flow doesn't really bother me tbh.

LMAO, im still reading Taylor articles on that SavingCountryMusic site. This comment is hilarious:

I also feel like Taylor used country music in some ways. Not herself, but someone (scof, cof) behind knew what was doing. This is insane if we think how a 16-year-old person, with a debut single about some random Tim McGraw’s song, who debuted at NINETEEN on the overall charts has become what Swift is right now.
She doesn’t need country. She kinda has made it breakthrough. Now, she’s the reason for the Teardrops on CMA’s bank account.

Was/is listening to ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS STAY, it's underrated in this base.
AYHTDWS is one of the best on 1989.
For a POP album, track 5 is still track 5, even though it's not ATW kind of track 5 which I think we can only find again after LP6, MAYBE?
