100. Shakira – Loca por Ti
99. Turnover – Flicker and Fade
98. Tove Lo – Talking Body
97. Jason Derulo feat. Snoop Dogg – Wiggle
96. One Direction – Steal My Girl
95. Nicki Minaj – Pills N Potions
94. Jessie J feat. 2 Chainz – Burnin; Up
93. Usher feat. Nicki Minaj – She Came to Give It to You
92. MØ – Pilgrim
91. Luke Bryan – Roller Coaster
90. Maroon 5 – Maps
89. OneRepublic – Love Runs Out
88. Miranda Lambert & Carrie Underwood – Somethin’ Bad
87. Hilary Duff – Chasing the Sun
86. Azealia Banks – Chasing Time
85. Nico & Vinz - Am I Wrong "Am I wrong for thinking out the box from where I stay? /
Am I wrong for saying that I choose another way?... / Am I wrong for thinking that we could be something for real?... / That's just how I feel"
In their first and only appearance on my Top 100 of 2014, Nico & Vinz slayed pop radio with Am I Wrong. Lyrically, I like this song a lot, and the instrumental alone slays. However, Am I Wrong suffered due to its ubiquitous presence on radio. Am I Wrong is an incredible song with an extremely unique and extraordinary sound. That's just how I feel...
84. Jess Glynne - Right Here "Finally I’m where I want to be / I didn’t think this life was gonna be for me... / No confiding or abiding to no rules / And now I’m content knowing that I’m here with you... / Now I’m right here, you got me where you want me / Now I’m right here, right here"
Jess Glynne came out of nowhere and slayed me in 2014. In what is hopefully a sign of things to come from Jess, Right Here marks a slight departure from her sound on singles like Rather Be. If released in the United States in 2015, I hope Right Here is a smash. I just discovered that Right Here is produced by Gorgon City (thanks Wikipedia!) so now I have to check out Gorgon City too. I can’t wait for Jess Glynne’s debut album in 2015.
83. Taylor Swift - Out of the Woods "Looking at it now / It all seems so simple... /
And I remember thinking… / Are we out of the woods yet?"
In the first of four appearances by Taylor Swift, I’ll admit that I hated Out of the Woods when I first heard it. I could not even grasp the sound Taylor was going for. When I listened to 1989 for the first time, something clicked, and I ended up loving OOTW. As much as I want this song to be a single, Style is admittedly destined to slay next. Then Taylor ha E.T. will slay
82. Taylor Swift - Shake It Off "I stay out too late / Got nothing in my brain... / Baby, I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake / I shake it off, I shake it off"
Back-to-back Taylor! In the second of four appearances by Taylor Swift, her disappointing lead single Shake It Off barely scrapes in ahead of another Taylor track that I initially disliked. While I never really grew to love Shake It Off, I appreciate it for what it is: it’s a fun pop track, reminiscent of Avril’s The Best Damn Thing era, with a fun video featuring scenes also reminiscent of Avril’s The Best Damn Thing era. Will Taylor’s next era be ha Goodbye Lullaby?
81. Alex & Sierra – Scarecrow "You're staring out the window / And I'm out here in the street / You stand there like a scarecrow / And I'm begging you to speak... / I just want to believe in you and me"
Surpassing Shake It Off in the songwriting department is the lead single from X Factor winners Alex & Sierra, Scarecrow. I was slayed by the LYRIC VIDEO for this song before its actual music video was even released. Who else could slay with a lyric video? Scarecrow is a really cute song with cute, heartfelt lyrics to match. I haven’t checked Alex & Sierra’s album out yet, though. Will they be one-hit wonders of my year-end countdowns?
GREAT countdown so far. Maps, SCtGItY, PnP, & Chasing Time are all some of my personal favorites.
Very nice taste Thanks for the comment,

Thank you. I really do like Counting Stars but somewhere along the way to becoming a huge crossover hit it got extremely and horridly overrated, I was even hesitant to listen to 1R again. Their best material is still on Waking Up though imo.
Something about Love Runs Out is almost magical. Native is my favorite album though

I love Talking Body, Burnin Up, Steal My Girl and agree with you about Maps and Chasing The Sun (which both I enjoy at times)
SLAY, can't wait for the rest
I'm glad you like the countdown so far Thank you for the comment,
Am I Wrong
In Your Arms was very good too though it's such a shame that radio wasn't here for them anymore.
Out of the Woods is great! Shake It Off, not so much (or at all really)
Feel Again is the one of the most underrated 1R songs
but still All the Right Moves and Secrets >>>>>
In Your Arms was nice for me at first but it got tired pretty fast, not as much replay value as Am I Wrong,
I just dislike Ryan Tedder's copycat production a lot of the time
Since I started doing year-end countdowns in 2010, OneRepublic's highest ranking has been in 2013 with If I Lose Myself at #75, and Good Life was #88 in 2011. Apologize tho >

From your past sets I love Maps and Pills n Potions, I think PnP is her best single to date, too bad it got so much undeserved hate
Those really are some of the catchiest songs of the year,
Pills N Potions I like PNP but I wanted a b0p like Super Bass or Starships. PNP is nice though
Thank you for the comment!
100. Shakira – Loca por Ti
99. Turnover – Flicker and Fade
98. Tove Lo – Talking Body
97. Jason Derulo feat. Snoop Dogg – Wiggle
96. One Direction – Steal My Girl
95. Nicki Minaj – Pills N Potions
94. Jessie J feat. 2 Chainz – Burnin; Up

92. MØ – Pilgrim

87. Hilary Duff – Chasing the Sun
86. Azealia Banks – Chasing Time
85. Nico & Vinz – Am I Wrong
84. Jess Glynne – Right Here
83. Taylor Swift – Out of the Woods
82. Taylor Swift – Shake It Off
81. Alex & Sierra - Scarecrow
80. Paramore - Ain't It Fun "So what are you gonna do when the world don't orbit around you? / So what are you gonna do when nobody wants to fool with you? / Ain't it fun living in the real world / Ain't it good being all alone / Ain't it good to be on your own / Ain't it fun you can't count on no one / Don't go crying to your mama 'cause you're on your own in the real world"
In a change of direction for alt-pop-rock band Paramore, Ain’t It Fun embraces gospel influences and results in an incredibly unique fusion that lands at #80 on my Top 100 of 2014. Ain’t It Fun was regrettably not pop or indie-alternative enough for my taste, after Still Into You’s #31 position of my Top 100 of 2013. The future of Paramore’s sound evolution will be interesting to witness.
79. Ariana Grande & The Weeknd - Love Me Harder "Tell me something I need to know / Then take my breath and never let it go... / I know your motives and you know mine / The ones that love me, I tend to leave behind... / 'Cause if you want to keep me, you gotta, gotta, gotta, gotta, got to love me harder"
I did not want Love Me Harder to be a single before One Last Time. One Last Time slayed me from the first listen, while it took me much longer to get into Love Me Harder. However, once I did get into Love Me Harder, I was slayed. Ariana Grande’s and The Weeknd’s voices mesh together beautifully, and the bassline is everything. I’m still hoping One Last Time is released as a single though.
78. Tove Lo - Over "Tell me, is this the part when / When we part ways forever / Tell me, is this the part when / Part when we are / O-O-O-Over / Wish I was, wish I was / So-so-so-sober"
In Tove Lo’s second appearance on my Top 100 of 2014, Over continues the string of hits present on Tove’s Truth Serum EP. As a cohesive project, all five tracks on Truth Serum slayed me in 2014, and Over is Tove’s first non-single to make an appearance. Tove’s hauntingly desperate lyrics and vocal delivery capture the incredible emotional importance of this song, which is the essence I adore from Tove as a songwriter.
77. MAGIC! - Rude "Saturday morning jumped out of bed / And put on my best suit... / Can I have your daughter for the rest of my life? / Say yes, say yes 'cause I need to know... / Why you gotta be so rude? / Don't you know I'm human too?"
The unremarkable entry at #77 continues the trend of Billboard Hot 100 hits appearing at disastrously low positions on my year-end countdowns. “Rude” by MAGIC! Perfectly illustrates this phenomenon. “Rude” is an okay song- it’s not great, it’s not mediocre, it was an earworm for a while, but was it really the #1 song in the country for six weeks? Yikes.
76. Alesso feat. Tove Lo - Heroes "We go hideaway in daylight... / Everyday people do / Everyday things but I / Can’t be one of them... / We could be heroes"
Tove quickly chalks up her third appearance on my Top 100 of 2014 with her feature on Alesso’s Heroes (We Could Be). The portion in parenthesis is completely unnecessary though. Alesso’s production is incredible and compliments Tove’s voice beautifully. Tove really shines on tracks like this, which could have even fit nicely on her (flawless) Queen of the Clouds debut album.
