IFPI's 2011 list runs from Dec 1st 2010 to November 30 2011, so virtually all of FW's sales during its chartrun counted towards their 2011 list
Its sales were just very local
it sold around 5.7 million in that period from the UK and US alone (4.8 million and 800k) and the least selling single on the IFPI Top 10 was Bruno's and it was at 6.5 million.
So it needed what? 800k more sales to reach the list?
It sold around 350k in Canada in that period, 150k in Germany and around 400k in Australia which puts her at 6.6 million
Only a few countries too obvs considering it went Top 5 and Top 10 in tons of countries! woo
Wait, so Firework being heavily utilised in the most controversial film of the year The Interview doesn't show impact, yet Meryl Streep singing Bad Romance in some unreleased film is? This needs some explanation
Embarrass myself with what? I'm not the one who saying album sales don't matter, Katy is the queen of pop but her album sales are at 10-13M
Yeah I know Katy sold more than GaGa wtf are you trying to say??
They said that but they aren't now instead they're gave her a GRAMMY nomination, the celebrated her #1 debut, the celebrated her record before Taylor came and stanched it
and they're talking about her amazing jazz work and giving her more acclaim than your fav but ok avoid that also hihi
they're both copying Queen Ariel hihi but your fav copied GaGa in that article.
Let me straight up ask you, do you agree with the media who said Gaga is over or not? it's a yes or no question.

Katy's song being used in a critically panned film while Gaga's is being performed by a legend kinda speaks volumes, doesn't it?
it sold around 5.7 million in that period from the UK and US alone (4.8 million and 800k) and the least selling single on the IFPI Top 10 was Bruno's and it was at 6.5 million.
It sold 818,953 in the US before the tracking period
At the end of that tracking period, it sold 5.075M
5075k-819k = 4256k in the US in that tracking period
UK sales in that tracking period are ~488k (~301k before, ~789k at the end of the tracking period)
So ~4.74M from the UK and US
IFPI's list is accurate. It only needed another 1.8M from other countries to make the list but I guess it wasn't global enough
If Gaga's film usage shows impact, so does Katy's, there's quite literally no difference.
Of course. But for some to say BR's impact is dead is foolish.
Firework's receipts are more impressive, but so was everything about TD era. Not sure why Katy Kats are trying to assert that Gaga is irrelevant right now when the entirety of ATRL already knows that.
Do you agree with them or not? you still haven't answered my question 10 posts later which means you're too scared or embarrassed!
I rest my case here since you have no such "evidence" Have a nice day!
I'm not scared or anything I just gave you tons of examples since you agree with the media and "GAGA IS OVER" you will agree with this one right? Or you don't agree with the media?
this can go both ways henny, will see who's the one that is embarrassed now
