Only because it gets a little bump of about 5-10k additional copies each year for the 4th of July and it is currently higher on iTunes in most countries due to the new movie that features it does it automatically make it more impactful?
Big and respectable publications such as Billboard and Rolling Stone praised the song so many times already and aknowledged its impact. RIAA decided it should become the first song in Digital History to receive the Diamond certifications.
