LP, Robin and The Monster
Is funny because TIHWD is one of the few songs I like from Katy Perry and Superheroes one of the few songs I like from The Script
Well, everyone seems to love/hate This Is How We Do. Do It Again is okay, a bit overrated imo. Girls Chase Boys' music video is indeed very interesting. The Monster really was very forgettable. Superheroes is their weakest first single, I believe but it's still great.
Falling and Do It Again are amazing, falling is HAIM's 2nd best for me!
It's top 5 for me at least

Girls Chase Boys is so low My favorite song from this set. The video is just terrible though
I like it but I never got into it a lot, Afterlife is better (Though it didn't qualify for 2014)

Really? They're one of the weakest songs for each of them

For such a mediocre song, I'm surprised there are many people who love it.
For their new album, Turn Blue, they decided to take on a more psychedelic sound instead of their signature bluesy sound. But for this song, the album closer, it stays more faithful to blues rock. It's nice and upbeat and definitely an album highlight after all the midtempo trippy music.

Headlights (feat. Nate Ruess)
Eminem

Peak: #18

This song shows Eminem reflecting on his past and talking about forgiving his mother and taking back all that he's said about her. I really like the message and Nate Ruess plants a sweet moody hook for this sentimental song. It's a nice, apologetic side of Em.

This is a cute indie song about being optimistic and thinking that everyday is your day to own. Sadly anything that's too optimistic gets me really sick and hence I'm bored of it.

This song was clearly crafted to be a pop radio hit. It lacks the unique subject topic Lily always has in every song of hers. Though it's quite a blatant meant-for-radio song, it's still a huge bop. It has a laid back feel to it and it's actually sort of refreshing for Lily.

Let's be real, we all listened to this song cuz of Legend X, ha impact!!!! But well, I really applaud her in this song as this is the first time where she really reigned in her acrobatics and allowed her voice to harmonise beautifully with the annoying guy's annoying voice.

For some reason, I got into this song. It's sort of catchy and I like that horn section. Sadly, his music from then has become so blatantly sexual, it's boring and distasteful.

The two queens of country collaborating had me with sky high expectations. And well... the song quality did live up to it's name! Okay not really, it's not that terrible, but I was expecting so so so much more. I tried making myself get into the song. At times I bop, but sometimes I just feel disappointed.

Prayer In C (Robin Schulz Remix)
Lily Wood & The Prick

Peak: #6
Weeks: still charting
So, this was a folk song and Robin Schulz came in and remixed it into a house track which I thought was pretty cool. It's a really good remix as it manages to retain the stripped down feel of the original song, he only made it a little more upbeat and fun to bop to. Also, the lyrics seem pretty heavy but I don't quite understand it. So, an EDM song with meaning! That's a first.

Yeah this song is horrendously old. I think I first heard it in early 2013 on the radio and I thought it was horrible. I hated the cheesy "eh eh oh" parts, they sounded so strange. Then it blew up in the US at the end of 2014 and I caved in. In fact I still like it now.

Ugh Maroon 5, I don't know what to say. This song is not really amazing, it's cute and rather catchy too. But I feel like their songs nowadays aren't the good kind of catchy. It's more of annoying, especially with that "map that leads to yoo-oououogshjjskgdo" part that just sticks in your brain, but it doesn't feel very good.
That's the last set before we hit the TOP 100!
- We have two ladies who had a bit of lady action in the video
- A flop comeback (out of the many flop comebacks in 2014)
- A flop who miraculously got a hit but will still remain a flop
- Someone who hates thin people
- A song that made a certain UK girl very angry
