I'm sorry I didn't know I wasn't allowed to make comments about the dying state of the music industry, but some people are ultra sensitive and I guess I have to tread lightly

No matter if its 300k, 400k or 500k we have no reason to seethe. Come on. Its still with 99% certainty #1 on HDS and Hot 100+ BB 200. We are well aware of the dying industry which is why literally all of us though that first Kworb number was overpredicted.

ok, now I changed methodology and got totaly crazy numbers
"Blank Space" 670k
"Uptown Funk" 480k
"Jealous" 208k
Well, the main problem is I don't know how the sales is changing day-to-day

You should've read the whole conversation between fridayteenage and I if you really wanted to understand what I was saying, which was
1. This will be the lowest selling Christmas week in years (which is true if you look at the numbers for the whole top 10)
2. Blank Space will sell less than 500k (which will most likely be true)
That comment was directed at ft not the whole stanbase, because for some reason he seemed to actually believe the numbers

2012 gift cards FX:
TW RK Artist Title TW Sales % CHG
1 SWIFT*TAYLOR I KNEW YOU WERE TROUBLE. 582*085 163
12 SWIFT*TAYLOR WE ARE NEVER EVER GETTING BACK 235*702 366
64 SWIFT*TAYLOR RED 79*836 366
73 SWIFT*TAYLOR BEGIN AGAIN 71*198 223
74 SWIFT*TAYLOR 22 70*973 315
167 SWIFT*TAYLOR MEAN 31*218 337
Mean of change: 295%
I'm sure she can achieve Trouble's gain - it gaves 600k - but I won't be surprised if BS will get ~ +200% - IMO now Swift has bigger impact, BS has great radio performance(in 2012 IKYWT was #10 on POP). In other hand BS is quite fresh hit... I see the meltown next Wednesday

The fumes
Yeah, I am sure Swifties will seethe seeing their fave spending 7th week at #1, while being #1 in sales, radio & streaming
So what if it ends up with the lowest selling Xmas #1? It's still one of the biggest songs of the year.
Probably the biggest female 2nd single since.........Poker Face?
------------
Ed is slowly coming back. The song is having an amazing longevity in the UK, so I believe in it reached the #1 eventually.

When people said that Taylor would single-handedly revive music sales, they were so correct

From what I've read, it was held back from sale while it impacted radio which built great demand for it. I think it's a great song if my opinion matters any

Was it that hard to conlude from my previous post that I am NOT considering myself to be a Swiftie?

Simply a fan of the Queen of Pop, miss Taylor Swift.
Someone Like You & Wrecking Ball are the only huge 2nd singles by females that come to my mind. Keep in mind this is since PF (as I said in my previous post).
If BS ends up it chart run with 8/9 weeks at #1, BS>> SLY, WB.
And that won't be that hard

First let's see if it can even pass the 4/5 million marks before we star making accusations like that

Streaming is taking over, but 4M seems fair.
Feel free to remind me if it fails to pass the 4M mark

Isn't she still affected by CMA?
It would be great if she can do 500k+ , but I see 460-485k for her tbh
