ULTRAVIOLENCE by LANA DEL REY
At first I was turned off by the lyrics. I felt like she was glamorizing domestic violence but after a heated discussion with the Lana stans, I now appreciate this song for what it is. I'm still a little torn since it's one of my favorite songs from the album.
ADORE YOU by MILEY CYRUS
Miley's shenanigans might have overshadowed the excellent album she put out but I don't care about her twerking, I only care about the music and Adore You is a masterpiece. I loved the vulnerability, the honesty and all the emotions conveyed in this song. I cried few times.
UPTOWN FUNK by MARK RONSON & BRUNO MARS
Uptown Funk is simply one of the best songs released this year. It would've probably been higher on my list if it was released a little earlier and got more iTunes plays. Bruno's vocals are insane. I can't think of anyone else pulling this song so flawlessly.
Just like Rihanna made Calvin Harris a household name with We Found Love, Bruno just did the same thing for Mark.
MAGIC by COLDPLAY
Magic is flawless and my second favorite Coldplay lead single ever. The looped bass line is godly and the drums are killer. Chris lyrics are simple, honest and heartbreaking. Damn you Gwyneth Paltrow!
Coldplay had to be #42. It's their favorite number. And they put it in everything they can. They even have a song called 42.
Ghost Stories is also 42:42 long
I can go on with the 42 foolishness
INSIDE OUT by SPOON
I discovered this song because the video was on some Best Videos list but I immediately forgot about the amazing video because the song itself slays so hard. Some Alternative radio stations just started playing it, so get ready for the slayage in 2015.
