I find there's this general brainwashing that happens to artists when they ''begin'' for real in this business. You start believing that what you have around you is the right thing.... I mean you are constantly pushed to make hit records, you are made to sell. They build you to sell, and thinking about their affinities, Iggy and Charli, it would be weird if Charli started siding with Azalea Banks. That would make absolutely no sense.
I think Azalea Banks raised a really interesting point, her interview on Hot 97 is by far the most interesting interview this year. She's a lot less crazy than she looks on Twitter. She makes a lot of sense, and you can tell it's a matter that is really dear to her. I hated Iggy's response to Azalea.
It was just stupid. No empathy whatsoever. She simply took her comments on the first degree. Azalea is mad @ what Iggy represents. I believe Azalea's thoughts are legit. I'm not saying Iggy is a disgusting human being. What I'm saying is maybe she should try to understand Azalea's point on the matter, instead of just blatlantly dismissing it. Iggy is really talented, and so is Azalea. Of course, there might be more than cultural appropriation here, and simply a beef between those two... but yeah I also think Iggy is doing Pop music on which she raps; not because of color or race at all. It's pop music heavily influenced by hip hop, on which Iggy raps.
