That's not true at all. Horrible albums have been getting released since the dawn of time, and their quantity was no different back in 1999 than they are in 2014. And let's be real; 1989 isn't anything super spectacular that hasn't been done before by anyone.

Limp Bizkit managed to sell over a million copies of their album in a week in 2000, and they have to be the worst band of all-time. *NSTINK was awful too, and they will likely forever hold the record for highest first week sales for ANY artist in American history.

I'm convinced her label bought the majority of the 1 million sales. Either that or there's something wrong with people in America. I don't get how she sold a million for an album like 1989.

Even though it's planned to be the second single, I don't think it really will be. I don't see this doing well on radio, nor streaming, nor sales. They'll drop it for something else once they see it fail.

I'm not doubting her. I just think she will eventually give into streaming. If her sales start to die off after Christmas or the Grammys, I reckon it'll be up on Spotify by June. If it keeps going, then more power to her.

It's a good thing that they are giving her more time to work on the album.
