But the song is catchy and not out of vein from her other material.
I really don't think anything by her will explode again unless it's completely different than anything else she's done.
G.U.Y. is not catchy... It lacks a strong chorus + climax. (lol) I heard it on the radio once and it just sounded weird and strange.
It's true. I don't think there's anything Gaga can do to redeem herself. Even if she released a super cool + commercial single it'd be seen as a copout and no one would buy into it because they see right through her.
But hey at least she hired Max Martin to produce on her next album. I mean he's her last resort before her label gives up on her and calls her a one-hit wonder, amirite?
Praying she gets the hit she wants, I'd hate for her to be dropped.
Azealia is the one who got dropped from Interscope, what are you even getting at?!
No one believes Venus should have legitimately been a single. I wish she'd make more tracks like Do What U Want but I have a feeling that she won't. Marry The Night is her best song but it didn't really go anywhere either.
Oh, but people did. I think it was popular belief implied by the stans here that Gaga herself was pro-Venus and DWUW was reluctantly released. No idea if it's true or not.
Marry the Night is so average lol. I understand the appeal but I seriously doubt it would have done better as a lead or second single. TEOG on the otherhand
Smash!
I think Godga takes away from TEOG a little bit. The saxophone and production are the best part of that song. At least imho, it's still kinda a perfect song, but the lyrics aren't too strong.
SHARTDROP was bad, always has been, and always will be regardless of its commercial performance.
The fact that Katy even managed to surpass her CRITICALLY speaking speaks volumes about how much of a disaster the album is when she had them sniffing her ass during her last 2 eras.
And the fact that she easily bounced back with a Grammy nom + critical acclaim while Britney Schiavo foams in computerized rage

She was obviously intent on having Venus released.

Oh, that's true, I'm talking about now. We all know Venus would have sunk harder than Dope lol.

I remember I thought it would be a top 5/#1 in when it was first released... Lmao. Clearly I underestimated just how deeply Joanne had driven her brand into the ground. She could release the most trendy + catchy song in the world right now and no one would buy it because of the stigma there is around "Lady Gaga".
