Best years for music, and someone compares it to this **** year with people like ****ing Shontelle I definitely want to see the Country Pop take over again, that was one Worldwide thing thanks to Shania Twain, then people like Faith Hill and Paula Cole came along, and it was just one big phenomenon. Hopefully Taylor Swift can start that Worldwide.
Can we get back on topic. We dont have to involve Beyonka in every single thread. Anyways ... I think that their are alot of new Pop acts coming about and thats because people are realizing its easier to get a hit in Pop then in any other genre. So thats probably a reason why Pop is growing so rapidly and dominating.
The best rock bands came out of Bakersfield, Sacramento, and Calabasas in the 1990s, however they are no match for the type of rock that is successful on the Hot 100. Even urban music is better than Buckcherry / Hinder / Theory of a Deadman.

I'm glad this is happening. Pop is better than Urban. I'd like more variety, too. I've always said: Pop music was great back in the 90s, but it is SO overrated by people...
